What is a Conformation Show?
If you've never entered a dog show before, don't worry, you're not alone!
A conformation show is not an obedience competition. Dogs aren't judged on tricks or training. Instead, they are assessed on how closely they conform to the official breed standard. Judges evaluate each dog's structure, movement, temperament, overall condition and breed type to determine how well they represent the ideal Cane Corso.
Handlers present their dogs in the ring by stacking them correctly and moving them so the judge can assess their construction and movement.
Whether you're an experienced exhibitor or thinking about entering for the very first time, conformation shows are a fantastic way to learn more about the breed, meet fellow enthusiasts and enjoy a great day with your dog.
